Cheryl Gruver is originally from Arizona, where most of her family still lives, including her son Mitch. She loves to go back and visit them as often as she can. She comes from a large family of 13, and developed an early love of teaching by helping her younger siblings. She graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She moved to our beautiful state of Hawaii in 2012, and began teaching in Kea'au shortly thereafter. In 2016, she was welcomed as part of the WES 'Ohana and feels so blessed to be part of our wonderful school and community! Cheryl has over 20 years of experience in education. She is grateful for the opportunities and experiences she has had, such as running her own private pre-school for 6 years, and teaching children from kindergarten to 6th grade in both Arizona and Hawaii.
